This car is particularly special to me as I used to watch these race on TV as a kid. I always liked the styling on the saloon rally cars with most using hatch designs by this point.

In 2007, it was driven in six rounds of the WRC by Petter Solberg. Its FIA Gold Book confirms that ‘PR0GDB06014’ finished 2nd in Rally Portugal and 3rd in Greece. It also competed in several rounds of the 2008 and 2010 WRC driven by Mads Ostberg finishing 7th in Finland 2010 and 9th at Rally GB 2010.

This was also the last car driven in public by the late, great Colin McRae at the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

As Subaru pulled out of rallying in 2008, this is one of the last WRC Imprezas and also probably one of the most advanced. The car comes with a large spares package so if the future owner did want to return a famous Impreza to rallying, it would be possible.

This car recently sold at auction for £189,000
